[Businessmtg] Question for the BM Membership about the open greeter positions

Good Morning all,

Thank you Jerry for keeping the conversation going. I'd like to piggy back
on to your inquiry with just a little more information about service
positions at ASP. Meeting Chair positions and Greeter positions are service
opportunities that are stepping stones to these open positions that we have
been discussing.

I would like to ask the members of the Steering Committee what is it about
the Greeter role that isn't generating any interest. I have been in search
of the 3 greeters for 2 months now and have gotten little response, less
than 10 and almost all of those have been from members who haven't been
subscribed for a year.

Hugs,

Anne O.

Subject: [Businessmtg] Question for the BM Membership

Biz-Pals,

In addition to the questions I posed yesterday another has occurred to
me:

Do we have any May Business Meeting (BM) members who DO qualify for the
posted Secretary and Treasurer positions who are not currently holding
another ASP office???

Could it be that the one-year of prior ASP service requirement excludes
everyone who would be eligible to stand for these positions?

If this were the case we have an additional problem: getting qualified
ASP members to join the Business Meeting where they would be eligible to
stand for these offices should they wish to.

Do me a favor:

If you are eligible (have at least one year of prior ASP service) please
send me an email at my private email address: logmark at comcast.net. Your
answer will be seen only by me and I pledge complete confidentiality.
I'll not twist your arm into service, nor will I keep a list. I simply
would like to know if we're wasting BM time awaiting resumes when none
can be forthcoming. We could move on to searching for potential
solutions which could permit filling ASP's service positions.

In service,

Jerry H.
