Biz-Pals,

~ I've had the WSO's Permission to Use CAL letter in hand for quite a while but have only recently gotten it scanned and sent to our Webmaster, Anne K. It should be on the website now. We're due for a new one by the beginning of April.

~ The required CAL copyright language and text limitations placed on ASP by the WSO were discussed with Beverly, our new Secretary, for use by our new set of topic chairs.

~ While ASP continues to grow (we're gaining more members than we lose each month) it's worth noting that we DO regularly lose members. By far the greatest reason given by those leaving is the number of emails received every day. Newcomers, particularly, find the volume daunting. About half (guessing) of those who leave have difficulty unsubscribing and require administrative assistance to do so.

~ There continues to be a sizable volume of topic and personal shares addressed using a Reply All function each day. Our server doesn't permit this so these shares do not make it to the membership and each requires an administrative response. While the bulk of them are from relative newcomers, some also come from seasoned ASPers. No effort to date has stemmed this flow.

A reminder:
Three of our current Steering Committee members are more than halfway through their 3-year service terms. I as List Administrator will rotate out this coming October. Anne O., our Greeter Chair, rotates out in March of 2021. Anne K., our Webmaster, rotates out in May of 2021. Because ASP requires a minimum of one year of prior ASP service to qualify for these Steering Committee positions I encourage members to enter into ASP service so we'll have a bevy of qualified candidates when the time comes to replace these current Trusted Servants and fill other vacant positions.

In service,
Jerry H., ASP List Administrator
