Reading through all this, I am so grateful for our trusted servants who do
so much to keep ASP going.  Where I live, I no longer have access to f2f
meetings, so ASP is my lifeline.

I agree that the LA position appears to be more than most volunteers would
be able/willing to handle, especially for a full three years.

I also see that the LA has to combine not only a good Al-Anon foundation
but also technical skills.

I think that it would be good at a minimum to find a way to separate out
the "technical administration of the mailing list" portion of the LA role
from the chairing of steering committee and interaction with WSO.
Margaret's suggestion of a special service board or committee sounds good
to me, or a shared mailbox.  Whatever allows us to make this change most
simply without having to get a majority vote from the membership of ASP
would be preferable.

I also think it's probably time to do another cleaning up of the mailing
list in case we have to look at doing something that involves asking the
ASP membership to vote on something.
