The year that I have been at ASP has been one of the most productive years in my recovery journey. I don't want anything to happen that will jeopardize the healing potential of this group.
After reading the job description and following discussions at this and previous meetings, it seems that the List Administrator position is fraught with difficulties. As it is described and has evolved it seems to have become more than many/most volunteers are able/willing to handle.
I realize that the electronic/email format has some elements that are different from f2f meetings, although I don't fully understand those differences or know exactly how to resolve the issues but as a fully functioning AFG, we must take our direction for solving all our problems from the Steps, Traditions and Concepts.
Since this position is the essential underpinning of ASP and thus responsible for the personal progress of the greatest number of our members, does it merit the creation of a special service board or committee, responsible to the group, for the task of redefining it and then implementing those changes? Is there any part of this job that we could reasonably delegate and pay a special worker to do?
