We have a lot of people on ASP, but clearly when it gets to having people
qualified to serve we have a disproportionately small number of people who
fill vacant positions.  It sounds like we need more people stepping into
"entry level" service positions so we have a pipeline of people who are
qualified for positions on steering committee.

I think that many ASP members have no knowledge of what it takes to keep
ASP going, and don't realize that there are needs and opportunities for
service here.  It would be good to find ways to get the message out to more
of the people participating in ASP.

I wonder if it would help if, whenever the topic of service comes up, those
who are involved in service in some way on ASP (be it as a greeter,
attending business meeting, chairing meetings, serving on steering
committee) shared your ESH about why you do it and how it helps your
recovery.  I see other people share about their service involvements in f2f
meetings or on district or other levels, and I think that people hearing
about how involvement in service at ASP makes a difference would be
helpful.  I think, for example, that more people would be inclined to
attend Business Meeting if they realized it had relevance to their recovery.
