Sorry for my delayed Service topic input.

                  - Service - discussion of need for member participation,
etc.

Jerry outlined the need at the Steering Committee level which is great,
however, without people rotating through the more entry level positions
first, we can't have a pool of qualified Steering Committee candidates.  So
personally, I'd like us to discuss the principle of attraction rather than
promotion.  

At the entry level, service starts with: 
*	Attending AND participating in the business meetings
*	leading a meeting/the daily chair which is a 6 month commitment
*	being a greeter, which is a 12 month commitment

Beyond sending out the random emails that recruit for these activities, I
don't see us doing much to attract people to participate.  There isn't much
awareness within our fellowship about our service opportunities and how
critical they are to our groups existence. 

That's all I have, on this.  My only suggestions for bringing service into
the light is to have a regular, say monthly, service topic added to one of
the meeting chair's list.  The same with the business meeting, have it be a
topic about 2 wks before recruiting begins.
