Hi Betsy,
Question #1 -- Is Recording Secretary a new service position that is not
included on the Steering Committee?
True. The Recording Secretary position is simply an appointed assistant to
the Secretary, but an officially recognized service position. As such, a
year's service as the Recording Secretary would qualify her for service as
an elected officer of the Steering Committee.
Question #2 -- Please elaborate on the reasoning behind the adding the
Founders positions at this point in time.
We are not recommending adding two Founder positions. The Founder positions
were established on May 1, 1996 and ratified by a group conscience on May
12, 1996. Other portions of the Founding Statement make changing, or
eliminating these positions rather impossible. All we are suggesting is
that the other members of the Steering Committee can officially ask the
Founders to do stuff, including performing the duties of a trusted servant
in their vacancy.
Hugs,
Steve

Subject: [Businessmtg] Motion 4 question
I've read over the proposed changes to motion 4. First, I want to be sure I
understand correctly. Then I have two questions.
It looks to me like the Steering Committee wants to eliminate two
positions: OLA-IS Rep and Webmaster. They want to add three positions:
Group Representative and two Founders. Is this correct?

Thanks much,
