Thank you so much Alison for volunteering to serve as the first group rep!! 

Your dedication and commitment to ASP and Al anon and your program shone through your resume. As it does through your chair emails and shares. For me, that was the most important quality I hoped for in anyone who volunteered for this position since this is a 3 year position and the first GR. I also think you would be an excellent GR and would represent ASP very well!! 

What you said about bullying and anonymity breaking in your resume was very concerning. I don’t know how ASP deals with things like that, but to stay a healthy group able to help people, I hope that is dealt with either by the steering committee or business meeting. 

I have some questions about the area and how it will be set up. I am relatively new to Al anon and the service structure, so it is all new to me. But normal areas are relatively small geographic regions, right? Like part of a state. So everyone in that area has at least that in common - they are from the same country and speak the same language and have a similar culture. But in the new electronic area, there is one for the entire world, right? Will the area meetings only be in English? Do we know how many electronic meetings there are that will be a part of the new area?
