Hi ASPers . . . aka Part 3 of the opening of this topic.
I'd like to open the discussion of the changes to the Secretary & Web Master
service positions at ASP.
The gist of what we are recommending is that the Secretary absorb the duties
of the Web Master position and delete the Web Master position.  We are also
recommending that the Secretary may appoint an assistant, who may be tasked
with some of the Secretary's service work, in qualify as the ASP service
prerequisite for eligibility to serve on the Steering Committee. 
Why?  The reality is that the actual work of the Web Master is extremely
little.  If you look at the archives of the Business Meeting, you would see
that the report of the Web Master is generally another version of this
month's report "No new updates."  This isn't meant to be a reflection of the
Web Master, but the reality of the position.  Eliminating the ELECTED
position and replacing it with an APPOINTED position offers several
advantages:
*  It is much easier to fill the position.
*  It does not waste an eligible member on such a minor service position
*  It leaves an eligible member available for service in other Steering
Committee positions that have a real need for a qualified eligible member.
