Thanks Steve for the background to this motion! And to you and the other steering committee members for your work on this and all other aspects of keeping ASP running.

I am in favor of eliminating the webmaster position and rolling the duties into the Secretary and recommending that the Secretary to appoint an assistant.

I have two questions just so I can understand how things work a little better. But my support doesn’t change with the answers. :)

First, the Secretary is recommended to appoint an assistant, but not required, right? So having an assistant could vary by Secretary - or even a Secretary could choose to have an assistant for a year and then go without for the remainder of their term?

Second, I believe you mentioned in a previous business meeting that even though we are discussing each of these 3 parts of motion 4 separately, there will only be ONE vote to revise motion 4 that will include ALL of the updated text for motion 4? So we can’t vote yes on the Secretary part but no on the group representative part? It is yes to all of it or no to all of it?

Thanks!
Lynne
