I agree with almost everything Steve said in his email.  As the former Area Secretary of California South, I  typed the Minutes at the area assemblies and special assemblies, and the Delegate and Board reviewed and revised them ad nauseam.  (Not because they wanted to change what happened but to make it as clear as possible.)  It got to be so detailed that I proposed we record the minutes instead of spending so much time trying to make them perfect, and just save the motions and whether they passed or not.  (Not to mention double-headed management.)  Looks like Steve has that covered in the By-Laws.

Also, Steve’s comment about giving up your anonymity when you’re in service beyond the group is part of the process just as background checks are for AMIAS’s. The $27,000 area treasurer who stole funds was from CA South and if we didn’t have her personal information she would not have been held accountable to repay the funds.

In my opinion there is no reason to fix something that doesn’t seem to be broken.
