Hi ASPers,

As you may have noticed, I'm back in the List Administrator seat for the
time being.  We were making good progress on the incorporation and it seems
that Anna had issues with having a role in the process, and apparently other
things, and she resigned as List Administrator and left ASP.  

The catalyst that triggered this was the need to have her personal
information made part of the corporate documentation, which she was
unwilling to do.  While we understand that there were other issues involved,
we also understand that many members of Al-Anon have serious concerns about
their anonymity and as a result, requiring members provide significant
personally identifying information would be an impediment to their
willingness to serve on the Steering Committee.

As a result, the Steering Committee unanimously agreed to make an
administrative amendment to the bylaws stating that the two Founders shall
hold the corporate titles of President and Secretary/Treasurer for the
purposes of the incorporation and interfacing with the government.  This
way, only the two Founders need to be personally identified with the
government.  This change to the bylaws is strictly administrative, and does
not change the duties or authorities of the elected officers of ASP as
described in the bylaws or Motion #22 in any way. 

Note: the bylaws allow for the Steering Committee to make administrative
amendments to the bylaws, while the members of ASP in the Business Meeting
make traditional amendments to the bylaws.  

Progress will resume on the incorporation next week and I fully expect to be
able to provide more information on where we are at the next Business
Meeting.
