All,

 

I had a few questions of my own as well as from a few of you.  I have a
little more information to share with you.  The first two bullets tie back
to questions asked of me earlier this month.

 

*	The size of the virtual meetings Area compared to the more
traditional Areas.  

*	At this time, I am only able to tell you that our new area has about
200 groups.

*	Does the new group have a guiding purpose, other than getting
organized?

*	I can only assume the guiding purpose of this Area will be no
different than all other areas.  I am not sure I fully understand the
question that was posed but I am happy to research more if I can get more
clarification on that question.

*	Election results.

*	our Area Delegate: Ozzie
*	Our Area Chair: Rosemary
*	our Area Treasurer: Becky
*	our Area Secretary: Burt

*	The Non-Panel label is attached to our area because the Virtual Area
will need to be accepted into the World Service Conference structure.  The
plan is to do so at April's conference.  Our delegate needs to request
special permission to attend and would be a guest and not a voting member.
*	The new Area will be working with a WSO task force to help define
the structure and support in whatever way they can.  I assume I will be
getting updates, I am just not clear on how that will be accomplished, I may
just send emails on a regular basis, maybe monthly?  The Area chair will be
my point person.
*	Because we have not yet been accepted, it isn't clear to me if our
delegate will be attending in April.  I will provide an update when I learn
more.
*	The Area treasury has not yet been setup.  When I have that
information I will share it.  Without the details of course, we would have
nowhere to send our donation.
*	I pulled a lot of my information from the WSO website and the newly
released service manual.
