Hi ASPers,

The hazard of using a previous report to draft a current report rears its
ugly head again!  Ugh.

In my report I stated “The 2022 register is neither posted nor up to date. 
I’ll update that when Anne provides the info in a couple of weeks or so.” 
Anne provided the Steering Committee with an up-to-date PDF of the 2022
Calendar Year Register on August 20th.  I thought I had updated the website
a couple of weeks ago, but somehow that slips through one of the giant
cracks that follows me around.  I fixed that this evening, so the

corrected and updated with the current register and the consolidated 2021
register.

Hi ASPers,

NOTE: Because this report contains information beyond plain text (images,
links, formatting, etc) I am sending it directly to each member attending
this Business Meeting and to the server so it will be a part of the record
maintained by the server.  While the server’s version will contain all the
information, it not be as easy to read after the server strips out all of
the formatting, etc.

Once again, I have a few noteworthy things to report this month.  

First, we finally have a bank account in ASP's legal name and EIN  No longer
does our treasurer need to open a bank account under their own name and
SSN.  This should allow use to add/remove treasurers with relative ease
because they won't be 'owners' of the bank account.  Of course, nothing in
today's banking world is totally simple, so there will still be some hoops
that the treasurer will need to jump through to authenticate their ID to the
bank and to get online access.  

Second, our new Recording Secretary that I announced last month seems to
have vanished, so the optional Recording Secretary position is open once
again.  

Third, I have updated a number of pages on the website.
1. Updated “Remove "Powered by Wordpress"” plugin.  
By default, Wordpress adds "Powered by Wordpress" to the bottom of every
page, which is not OK in Al-Anon.

I did some wordsmithing of the text, minor reorganizing of the page
replacing text that had excessive white space with bulleted lists, as well
as updating the list of requests.

a. I uploaded the 2021 Calendar Year register provided by Anne after she did
a ton of work on it making it as accurate as possible.  
b. I did NOT delete the old 2021 files.
c. I deleted the links to the array of 2021 registers and replaced them with
a single reference to the most recent 2021 Calendar year register provided
by Anne.
The 2022 register is neither posted nor up to date.  I’ll update that when
Anne provides the info in a couple of weeks or so.

a. Updated with current greeter info

a. Updated the member names and email addresses for each day.
b. Corrected my spreadsheet that I use to log and train the Daily Chairs. 
Namely, I corrected the “Open Topic” listing I had in my spreadsheet for
Sundays to CAL to comply with the decision some years back.  The current
Daily Chair will likely continue with an open topic.

6. After discussion in the Steering Committee, we agreed that our website
needed a footer like other quality corporate websites.  The footer needed to
note the owner of the website, that it is copyrighted, and provide direct
hyperlinks to 3 basic places on the website: our Founding Statement, a link
to our Join process and a Contact link.
