Hi.  I have been thinking about this topic.  I went to the ASP policy page
regarding the responsibilities of the BM and the responsibilities of the
Steering Committee.

Responsibilities of the BM:

“BM is the group conscience of ASP on issues not specifically delegated to
the SC.

Establish general meeting policies by substantial unanimity of subscribed
membership of Business Committee

Changes to ASP core policies require a 2/3 majority of subscribed
membership of Business Committee

Elects the members of the BM to the SC.”


Responsibilities of the SC:

“May make autonomous decisions when needed

Suggested changes to policy and practices

Implementation of ASP policy and practices.”

So this being stated,

how do we go about delegating the “authority to waive the ASP service
requirement on a case by case basis” to our SC or not.

do we delegate, as BM committee? Or take a vote to delegate as a GC

Or is this making an autonomous decision when needed by the SC?

Maybe these are the issues we need to iron out first?
