[Businessmtg] Business Meeting Motion

   Hi Business Friends,

   I confess I am so confused right now regarding the motion on the floor,
   that I am unable to make an `informed' decision.  I thought I
   understood in the beginning that the Steering Committee was asking for
   permission to vet a applicant who had less than ASP stated service
   requirements in cases where positions have remained vacant.

   I thought this was hoped to be a temporary solution to an existing
   problem/need.


   I assumed that if a person who fit the qualifications applied for a
   position, then this `soliciting' would not apply.  (I cannot explain
   why the word `solicit' bothers me so much, and that is not part of the
   discussion - just a personal comment.)


   Now I'm getting the impression that the SC may submit a name they have
   vetted who does not meet the requirements fully, even though a person
   who does has submitted their name.  Is this accurate?


   Bottom line, with my boggled brain, if we were to vote today, I would
   have to vote against because I don't understand what I'm voting for, or
   I would have to abstain for the same reason.
