[Businessmtg] Turn over and group inventory

I, too, have been concerned about the turnover in steering committee positions and the low attendance at business meetings. However, when I look at the other meetings, virtual and f2f, that I currently attend or have attended in the past I see the same pattern. If you want to to clear the Zoom screen or empty the church classroom, just say "Now it is time for our business meeting," whether that is at the beginning, end, or middle of the meeting.
I agree that a group inventory could be helpful. I can also see how cumbersome this could be in the email environment and that it won't be an instant fix for our issues.
There is information about how to do that as well as solving other group issues in the Al-Anon / Alateen Service Manual 2022-2025 and at Al-Anon.org / Members / Member Resources / Manuals and Guidelines / Taking a Group Inventory (G-8a & G-8b). This information is geared toward f2f meetings but with some work it could be adapted to our format.
The trusted servants on our steering committee have their hands full keeping things up and running ODAT. Perhaps we could create a committee to explore the options for taking a group inventory and try to find a way that would work at ASP.
