Hi Mary,

In the server, there are only 3 questions in the archive settings. I
listed them below.

*Archive messages?

*Is archive file source for public or private archival?

*How often should a new archive volume be started?

There is no option to delete archives after a certain number of days.
Steve would know more of what is technically possible, but as I
understand it, ASP either has archives or it doesn't. We have them set
to private, so only members can log in and read them (they have to log
in with their ASP server password which is created and sent to them in
their welcome email).

I also wanted to throw out there that every share from every member is
sent to hundreds of email addresses. Any one of those hundreds of people
could save all emails on their own personal servers or mail clients.
This is the reality of an email meeting. We don't have control over what
anyone else does with our emails. We have to trust the Al anon program
and the principle of anonymity.

I also know some members read shares from the archives because their
email client blocks some ASP messages. Just one other facet that should
be considered.

Hugs,
Lynne
