G'day 

Firstly I would like to thank all of you who have gone before for your service - for sharing your knowledge and background information with us esp. Dawn, Tara, & Steve. 

1 - Further reflection and from the insight of other members I want to state that I have changed my opinion to the fact that if we are going to send out newcomer packs they should be the "traditional;" ones available from WSO..  I am also in favour of the group sending out the packages to newcomers to Al-Anon who request it. 

2. Funds for the expenses should come out of our monthly expenses  - which would mean that we would have to budget for it in our prudent reserve. 

3. I totally agree with Emee that the expenses for the same should again be coming out of ASP money and not from someone's private pocket.  I haven't found anything that really speaks to this in the service manual other than for each group to be self-supporting.. If the $ do not flow through the Treasurer it makes it difficult to budget for the expense and also to maintain accurate records.  If someone wants to fund this then they should make a donation to ASP through the Treasurer.
