Tara asks:  "why on earth would we make more positions when we have jobs that we cant even fill I still need 2 to 3 greeters why make more jobs that we will not get people for?"

BECAUSE:  It's NOT working.

Exactly how many current "greeters" do we have?  How many do we really need?  

If it ain't broke, then there would be no discussion.

But, if it's broke, denial will not fix the brokeness.

We need a careful review of our group "operations", including but not limited to, the dominance of a few "servants".  The idea put forth that we should be able to review positions and operations of this list is well within the group conscious responsibility . . . and it should be allowed to proceed naturally without objection from the current people holding trusted servant jobs.  

In my understanding, the bottom line is always that trusted servants are elected to serve us as we direct, not to govern us or persuade us to do their bidding.  Trusted servants are, of course, as group members, welcome to voice opinions.  But, they may not make the group conscious.  TS's must let go, no matter how much they oppose the ideas the group sets forth.  That is the way of Al-anon.  No one or two or three members have the right or the responsibility to govern us.  

Thanks for allowing this discussion to move forward.  I believe it is an important topic that will ultimately result in a beneficial outcome.  Group Conscious is always healthier than "rules".  And change is always a sign of good health, as opposed to stagnancy.
