[Businessmtg] Greeter Chair position

Thank you all for the comments and questions. I will try to address them as best I can. 

I have been meditating for months on this position. It was not a rash or rushed decision despite how it seems. 

The Al-Anon principles cover service and its importance to personal and group health. The greeter chair is a key position- what we’ve had for almost a year is the list administrator stepping in to cover the vacancy, no one should hold two distinct positions. And while the Archivist position is listed on the trusted servants page, it has been vacant until a year ago when it was posted to the bus meeting.

My hesitation to submit my resume was more about giving others an opportunity to serve. I am not sure why people don’t step forward. I see it in face to face too. My hope had been that someone would hear their higher power and come forward. 

So with that said, list item 7 in our founding policies is clear that no one person may hold more than 1 position.  I don’t believe there are any guidelines around resigning a position or resigning and applying for another.
