[Businessmtg] Business Meeting

Hi All,
I’m new to the Business Meeting process (this is my 2nd BM) so have
remained in an observer role.

However, after seeing the comments made by Karen, GB and others at the end
of the last meeting I assumed (my bad) that the issues would be addressed
in this meeting. While I’m not aware of all the ins and outs of the
Business Meeting process, it feels there is an elephant in the room that is
not being dealt with.  So here we are again at the end of a BM with similar
concerns this meeting.

There’s mention of a group conscience, a group inventory and a new
committee, so how does any of this happen? It was brought up last meeting
as well so I’m confused why it’s not being addressed.  When a topic is
raised does the steering committee decide what is put on the agenda or not?
Are all topics given equal treatment?
There was a lot of white space on this meeting where it appeared more
movement could have occurred. Again, I may be missing something as I’m new,
however I’m not sure how this can be effective at this pace.

Thank you trusted servants and BM for serving and teaching newcomers.  ASP
has brought me out of a very dark place and is important to me. I’d like to
serve in the near future and see ASP succeed beyond what it is now, however
I’m concerned after attending these meetings.
