Based on the suggestions, I'm not hearing a consensus that we're doing just
fine and don't need to tweak our response to newcomers.  So that suggests
to me that we might as well re-form a newcomers committee to explore a
coordinated response.  I would suggest that such a committee be time-and
focus-limited, with the specific charge to discuss whether they see a need
to start something new like a newcomer's meeting or whether they think we
can simply tweak what we already have (ex: website pages, greeters tasks).
  I would suggest that the committee bring a report to the next business
meeting, at which point their task is done.

Any recommendations from this committee can be discussed at the next
business meeting to figure out what/how to implement suggestions.
