I joined on here last month. Haven’t been here long enough to take an ASP
position. I am in service in the 3D world at Portland AIS and I’m on the
Al-Anon planning committee for ICYPAA (International Conference for Young
People In AA). I like the idea of sending out a State Of Service Letter to
the group that lack of trusted service positions left open puts the group
at risk for closure.

At one of the F2F meetings I would go to in San Francisco before I moved to
Portland, we would actually read the groups call to service about the
importance of service to the meeting and without it the group will close.

Is Service a topic that is discussed in the topic meeting schedule? Perhaps
Service In ASP can be a topic and long time ASPers can share how Service to
ASP helped them in their recovery.
