Steering Committee Report

Items discussed during May:

~ An ASP member had brought up an agenda topic suggestion for the Business Meeting (BM) which was lost in my shuffle. It was again brought to my attention, but since the agenda had been posted and only a few days were left in the sign-up period it was too late to reach all ASP members, so consideration of the topic (posting Al-Anon announcements) was moved to the discussions for July's agenda.

~ Because of increasing newcomer volume, do we need another Greeter?

~ May Agenda Brainstorming

  - Secretary and Treasurer Vacancies

    . Determined that calls to service were the priority BM agenda items

    -   BM members' unwillingness to fill service positions

    . Could some requirement changes improve willingness to serve?

      . shorter length of service

      . length of ASP membership

      . lower or eliminate prior ASP service requirements

  - Announce vacancies in Topic Meeting?

~ Quarterly Business Meetings to lower Secretary's workload

~ Inconsistencies between Founding Policies and Service Structure as posted
