This is my first time in a business meeting, so I hope I’m doing this right. 
First off, I want to thank Steve for all he does for this group. For all those who serve. I’m still in my first year with ASP and al anon, so I apologize that I don’t know all the roles and duties. But I still felt like I wanted to share. 
It sounds like the LA is a big responsibility if those that hold it for 3 years serve and leave the group. As others mentioned, maybe the expectation is too high and the work to daunting. It sounds like most of the other positions have multiple people in those roles, but why doesn’t LA? I’ve seen a few mention to split it up, and I think that sounds like a good answer. 
That is my two cents. Thanks for letting me be a part of the process.

Whatever decision we make needs to be made keeping in mind that Steve 
has indicated he is ready to stop wearing those hats. It may be time to 
figure out how to make the job of LA easier for the next person who 
volunteers. Just my .02.
