[Businessmtg] Secretary and Web master positions

Hi everyone,

I also agree with eliminating the webmaster position, giving those duties to the secretary and creating the recording Secretary position that reports to the Secretary, but is a non- steering committee role. 

One thing that was discussed last business meeting was that ASP has a hard time finding members to volunteer to serve on steering committee positions, as evidenced by the fact that the LA and Secretary positions are vacant, which is why Steve is filling both those positions. Since one year of ASP service is required to be on the steering committee, the new recording Secretary position (which I believe is a year term?) would give one more person the ability to gain that service requirement and involvement in ASP.  

And I understand that the steering committee recommends these changes irrespective of the GR position. However, if the GR position is added at the steering committee level, that adds one more person back to the steering committee. 

So I am fully in favor of this change.
