A big thank you to Jerry and Steve for your consistent hard work on setting
the foundation for ASP, but, frankly, I don't know what to do with this
dispute over wording. It sounds to me like it's a little bit beyond
Business Meeting level.

On one hand, if the members of the Business Meeting are to decide whether
or not we have the authority to make these proposed changes, I would feel
obligated to read carefully through every word of our documentation as
posted on the website. I have read it, and frankly, it's not that well
written. There are all kinds of opportunities for misunderstanding and
ambiguity. I don't think of that as a bad thing. Our traditions state
that we must always remain non-professional and not-organized. Lawyers and
professional business/legal writers have no place here (unless they have
friends or family who are alcoholics, of course.)

On the surface, I don't see how webmaster/secretary's assistant or
responding to changes in WSO with GR position amount to the stature of
core principles or founding principles.

These concerns sound important and they have the potential to be very
divisive. Please give some guidance on how the business meeting can help.

Thanks,
