[Businessmtg] ASP Group Rep report for the May Business meeting

Hi All,

 

The last meeting I attended as ASP Group Rep was held on March 5th.
Elections wrapped up at that meeting and we now have a full slate of
officers for our new virtual area.  I did try getting more info at the end
of March but there wasn't much and I haven't gotten any more emails from WSO
or from the Area leads.   I have copied information that I received from the
Area Chair and from the WSO, that information follows.  Hoping now that the
April conference has wrapped up, that more information will be shared with
the GR's this month.

 

***This was the information I received at the end of March when I reached
out the new Area chair, Rosemary.

 

Ozzie is our Area Delegate - Ozzie will be attending the 2022 WSC in April.
The 2022 WSC has to approve us entrance into the Conference.

 

Area officers:  Ozzie, Area Delegate, Rosemay B. Area Chair, Becky CH, Area
Treasurer and Burt P., Secretary -  are  meeting weekly.  

 

They then meet with a WSO team bi-weekly.

 

***I also reached out to the WSO looking for information on our new area,
this is the response I got:

 

Since the new Global Electronic Area is in its infancy, only basic roles
have been established at the Area level-Delegate, Chairperson, Treasurer,
and Secretary. A previously established Task Force, along with these new
Officers, will be developing links of service to share information and keep
groups informed. Since the World Service Conference is at the end of April,
we expect more information will be available after Conference discussions.
