[Businessmtg] Business Meeting - Districts

   Hi Friends,

   I definitely believe Districts should be a level added to the new
   structure.  This is brand new to all of us, and as Anne related, there
   is no agenda set as yet.  Our Al-Anon symbol (triangle) signifies the
   large base that filters (communicates) upward to the smallest area.
   While WSO may be conceived as the largest because it is the umbrella,
   the fact is it survives because of the base.


   While I am used to geographical setup of Districts in my area and know
   it works - our District is strong and well represented, I am at a loss
   how such a huge electronic assembly would be best served.  Jerry's
   comment about possibly being set up by type of electronic meeting spoke
   to me, even though I have no clue where/how it would be designed.


   For some reason, creating districts by dialect (language) bothers me
   and I cannot explain the reason.  I know that ASP has members from many
   countries and I don't know if shares are done by electronic translation
   or if they speak and write in English.   I know that it works and I
   love the diversity.  It would be special to carry that on to Districts.


   Those are my thoughts for now.  I'm definitely excited and ready to
   hear others thoughts and ideas.
