Greetings to all who are attending the Business Meeting.

I want to say how grateful I am to see an active discussion on the ideas under consideration.  As I read successive posts, my thinking is evolving, and I have a couple of new thoughts and questions.

It seems to me that we have not had a problem filling daily chair and greeter positions recently but since I'm not part of the recruitment process, I can't be sure.  Are we getting enough volunteers who meet the
6-month participation requirement to fill those positions?   Is there any reason to change that requirement at this time?

If we are getting more people into these appointed positions, then it should provide a larger pool of members who meet the 1-year requirement for Steering Committee positions.  I'm still concerned that the commitment to a 3-year term is overwhelming to many of us and discouraging volunteers.   It seems that actively trying to fill the 6-month member-at-large positions is a positive start.

Though I still don't have a clear formula for calculating business meeting attendance and participation into requirements and decisions about all trusted servant positions, I look forward to seeing more discussion of this idea.
